Résumé

This paper critically examines the way in which His Only Wife by Peace Adzo Medie promotes women’s entrepreneurship education and career exploration. The study draws on a feminist analytical framework to focus on entrepreneurship and women’s socioeconomic empowerment. The paper argues that training the large female population to become self-employed is a way to raise income, raise living standards, and break the cycle of poverty. It adds voice to the collective call for investing in entrepreneurship education and, above all women’s entrepreneurship education to support African initiatives about sustainable employability and empowerment. Findings reveal that promoting an entrepreneurial culture among the female population can address societal challenges and lead to sustainable employability and socioeconomic empowerment for developing African states in the quest for stability and sustainability.
